Welcome to Kiwanis Club of Ambler! We are an eclectic mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds, and interests. We are passionate about making our community and the world a place where our children can succeed. We are devoted to serving the children not just in our local community but also worldwide through unique, innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives.
Martin R. Brown, beloved past president of the Ambler Kiwanis Club and the visionary who launched the annual Ambler Kiwanis Carnival and July 4th fireworks, passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 81. For decades, his energy and imagination helped turn summer evenings at Wissahickon High School into a place where families gathered for rides, games, and one of the region’s most anticipated fireworks displays, creating traditions that knit neighbors and generations together. As a Kiwanis leader, he poured countless hours into service so that children and youth in the Ambler area would have greater opportunities, using the carnival not only as a celebration but also as a major fundraiser to support local scholarships and community programs. Those who worked alongside him remember a quiet persistence, a ready smile, and a deep love for his town that showed in the way he kept improving the event year after year, always asking how it could bring more joy and benefit to others. His death leaves a real emptiness in the community he served so faithfully, yet the lights of the carnival midway and the fireworks that continue to sparkle over Ambler each July will remain a living tribute to his vision, generosity, and enduring commitment to service.
Your gift in memory of Martin Brown helps carry forward the Kiwanis Club of Ambler’s commitment to supporting and empowering youth in the greater Ambler area.
